I usually content myself by waiting for the inevitable to occur when it comes to people like LA. Control over your children is an illusion, to some degree. Particularly when they become adults.

I know my parents were in for a nasty surprise when I married a person of color, in spite of their repeatedly racist commentary during my growing-up years. I'm still not sure if I did it because I loved him, or as a big f-u to them.

It's sad when your own parents refuse to accept the person who makes you happy.
I only hope LA doesn't disown his daughter when and if she brings home a black man.

I divorced him three years ago after 12 years of marriage because he was a cheating ass. I think we stayed married partly because of the kids, and partly because I was too stubborn to admit I'd made such a huge mistake. Not because of his color, mind you, but because of his character. I know plenty of people of color that I would be more than happy to see date my daughter.

I will disown her. She knows better and despises them along with her classmates. She has gone to a all white private school since first grade like I did. Would you ever let your daughter date a big browed long legged Aborigine? Lets be honest.

Nice that you've raised your daughter to be a racist pig like her father. I am sure she's proud of you.

I would not care who my daughter dates, as long as she is happy.

I love and care for her deeply but I pay for her college prep education and $5,200 per school year. She has traveled to Europe, Greece and even Sydney. She is fortunate. She will run the oil company one day. She is just being raised along with her elite peers in a fine educational institution for a better quality of life compared to a public mixed school system.
