That is pretty much the opinion of the world. Well, at least definitely from the Middle-East for sure and other parts of the world.

You hear it all the time:

America's so racist. America's so greedy. America's a war monger, etc.

Yet. If history books and veterans taught me something. It was mainly America who stopped Germany and the Nazis against systematically killing Jews, Blacks, Homos, Handicap, etc. It was America who was mainly the one's who stopped a white country from killing minorities of race, and sexual origin, and physical being.
It was America who lost hundreds of thousands of men and woman to beliefs of what we hold as a country. Freedom of speech, religion, race, etc.

It's only America who has a gigantic statue sitting on its shore for all to see that says:


"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

The United States of America donates more food than any other country. I believe it was said about 5 times as much as Europe. Now take that into consideration. America alone donates 5 times as much food as the next CONTINENT does! Excuse me for not being able to find that source. But it is true, and if you can find it, please link it.
America has its own poor, and its own starving people. Maybe not as much as the next country, but we still have our own to take care of. Yet, we manage to still donate more food as a country, than the whole of Western Europe.

Now, whether or not it was America's right to go into Iraq or Afghanistan, it made a positive difference in the lives of the innocent people, given there isn't the peace that we'd hope there would be at this time. It's still a whole lot better than when the Taliban was claiming Afghanistan as their stronghold. It's still a whole lot better than when a notorious murderer reigned over Iraq.
Again, given Iraq isn't a peaceful country at this point. It was 100 times worse than when Saddam Hussein ruled.(Now the only thing we probably regret is not getting the oil, )

For all of the wrong America has done, it's made up for it throughout the years.

But because we won't allow people who've come into our country illegally STAY HERE. Or because we won't allow a terrorist organization to crash planes into our buildings and kill thousands of American's, we're labeled evil.

Right or Wrong?

And what is Israel's number one export item? Weapons!

Yes we all know what the USA uses its money and energy on DONT WE!

Currently the USA is spending more on its military than ALL the otehr nations in the world combined.

The USA makes up 6% of the worlds population and yet consumes about 30% of the worlds resources and energy (as well as about a third of the worlds waste and pollution)

So according to you The rest of the planet must starve and perish in your waste and weapons so that the paranoid American decadence can continue.

My opinion isn't on your poll.

America is not evil. We're not always right, because, like any group of people, we have good people, and bad people.

Smart people, and not so smart people.

And everybody gets to vote.


To be sure, we've been doing a lot of things stupidly, badly, and it is unsurprising that, in the absesnce of a country obviously worse, say, the Soviets, America-as-evil becomes popular because there are many in this world who will generalize and see only the bad that we do.

That said, it doesn't help us when we keep doing terrible things. It doesn't help that our racists get on the internet to spread their hate. It doesn't help when we flaunt our way of life, while we care very little for those who may be exploited so that we may continue without change. It doesn't help that we're the worlds biggest polluter.

But it does help when we change course, learn from our mistakes, and extend respect to other people.
