Would voting for Obama simply because he is black be racist?

If I used the fact that Obama is black as the ONLY criteria for voting for him as President, would you consider it as racist?

Feel free to post your thoughts on the definition of racism and what you think racism means.

Racism is discrimination/favoritism based on race.

That would make voting for him on the basis of race racist.

It's as plain and simple as that.

Sorry about that. I wanted to make this a poll, but didn't check the box for it and didn't know how, or even if I could, delete it. One of the others is a poll asking if voting for Obama because he is black is racist and one has to do with McCain being white. I want to compare the responses.

That position is too powerful to be toyed with based on skin color. You have posed an ostensibly pedestrian question which does not deserve an answer.

I would consider it stupid that someone could be so brainless as to vote for someone they THINK is black, and who actually ISN'T black at all.
