After Iraq, who could trust anyone with all of that money, liberal or conservative?

Anyway, your thread title really made me laugh.

Conservatism does not result in small government, it results in massive corporations having all the power and merging with the government.

Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power. - Mussolini

Corporatism is not conservatism. Get your facts straight.

And if you want to prove that conservatism somehow leads to corporatism, then explain how the US had a small government for almost 100 years after the American Revolution and never descended into corporatism until after the Civil War destroyed the Federalist principles that defined conservatism.

Perhaps you are thinking about Republicanism instead of conservatism.

the government wastes enormous amounts of money.
even the worthwhile expenditures are grossly inflated.

After the massive propaganda of the GOP casting what they believe and practice as conservatism, you can't really blame people for believing it.

Maybe one day conservative people will see they were used.

But I think I'm a conservative.
A real one.

I put sometimes....
Because sometimes they do use the money wisely..otherwise they wouldn't exist

But for the most part no. Trust Conservatives to at least try more then Liberals though.
