Oops! All apologies! Considering what a sarcastic bastid I can be sometimes, it's amazing how often these things slip by me!

I believe the universal gravitational constant is (6.67 x 10^-11 m/s^2) (m1) (m2) / r^2). It is our proximity to objects, celestial and otherwise, that determines our gravitational attraction. Gravity is predetermined by the mass of a respective object or celestial body. All masses are affected by gravity, yet the effect is only discernible when one of the objects in question is massive. For this reason, thankfully, the gin and tonic sitting next to me is not going to suddenly soil my tuxedo.

Yes, when there's a finite amount of mass, then your gin & tonic is safe. But if there's an infinite amount all around us, then you can't say there's more of a gravitational force on one side than the other. Infinity + Earth is not bigger than Infinity.

I tentatively believe string theory. So I think that there are other dimensions beyond this one and potentially other universes parellel to this one.

Investigate the concept of "multiverses". You shall be summarily surprised. I do possess certain reservations about the subject, but nonetheless, it is intriguing.
