You seem to be using the ideas of minorities and poverty interchangeably. How about substituting race-based scholarships with need-based scholarships? If the need-based scholarships go primarily to minority groups, so be it. But they won't discriminate against non-minorities that might otherwise be resentful of race-based scholarships. Such resentment, whether by itself or combined with other experiences, could very well lead to racism.

Absolutely agree. However, this is based on logic and not well-intentioned emotion so the liberals will never understand or agree.

They think we are uncaring. What they fail to realize is that we care but but know that their policies just plain suck and won't achieve what they think it will. That is, of course, unless they desire the suppression of success and the redistribution of wealth. Their policies are particularly effective in those two regards.
