I vote for McCain, although I prefer Bush to him in most ways involving this.

BTW, just as a side joke here, it's funny how Obama is to the right of McCain.

I'm not really all that excited about either on this issue.
McCain backs the retarded "gas tax holiday" and the silly sweepstakes plan.
Obama is worried about BS "windfall profits" and speculators (a problem, sure, but not that big).

It seems both of them have energy policies largely built around pandering to voters. No surprise.
Hopefully their plans will make more sense when the election is over.

I wander if the posters that defend Obama's rediculous energy policy can defend it? Are they living in a fantasy land?

I agree.

But when you compare actual energy proposals, McCain does come out on top.

Notice that this verry Thread/Poll was posted on 23/06/08. Who Has The Better Energy Policy? McCain/Obama
Also notice that this Thread/Poll was posted on 16/06/08. Will Raising Taxes On Oil Companies Lower Fuel Prices?

Now pay close attention to this!

F0ca1 and JMS who saw fit to vote that Obama has the best energy policy convieniantly avoided the Vote on weather raising the taxes on Oil companies would drive up the price of fuel at the pump! They voted immediatly in the Poll posted on 23/06/08 yet have failed to vote at all in the poll that is in reference to nearly the same subject posted on 16/06/08. Is it a fluke? Im thinking no!

Just an Observation!

Obama's betting on the "if-come." No drilling...keep the gas prices ratcheting up, and hope alt-fuels come online soon.

McCain is still hoping alt-fuels come online soon, but he's not naive enough to risk not drilling either.

I'd rather have BOTH going on, than NEITHER.

Thats not a very nice thing to say about McGrampa.. give the oldman a chance. That kind of hyperbolic fear-mongering makes you look all scared and panicky.
