Evolution and AGW are two hotly contested scientific theories that get heavily debated here on PF. What are your stands on the two?

Evolution although still a theory is well accepted by the scientific community. I do find quite interesting and it makes alot of sense. AGW? yeah really tied in far to much with emotion and the maddness of the left to be taken seriously..

I would just like to clarify that Evolution is not a "Hotly contested theory." Intelligent design holds very little credibility and is supported by very few scientists.

I picked other because I believe in evolution, but I don't know about Global Warming! It is not that I don't believe, it just that I don't understand science as well as I do history and politics. So the only thing I have to go by is all the propaganda coming from both sides of the political spectrum on this issue, which I can't believe, so I am just undecided!

I believe in both. My confidence in evolution is higher, as it is far more established.
And I am not certain of what extent AGW goes to... GW is obviously affected by other things as well.

Depends on what you mean (assuming the specificity of the amoeba is just for simplification) by "widely accepted".
It is widely accepted by scientists.
It's not as widely accepted by the American population (Evangelicals make up a third of the population and for some reason they think evolution is somehow contradictory to God).
