Default Who will have nuclear energy first?

Under Obama the answer is clear and under McCain the other answer is clear.

Obviously Iran isn't developing it for energy purposes but the US already has Nukes so that question would make no sense.

The US already has nuclear energy... Not everywhere, but it has it.
So the answer is the same regardless.

I did enjoy the GOP's lie in McCain's latest ad though. Obama is not against nuclear energy. He will support it but claims it isn't his first choice. He also plans on supporting other forms of energy.
McCain is for subsidizing nuclear only, which makes the pictures of wind turbines and solar plants in his other ad pretty funny.

BTW... is it a race? What difference would it make if Iran had nuclear energy before we spread it around the country more?

obama is against nuclear, he claims to be for it but basically puts up so many road blocks to it that it would never happen.

I should have phrased the question as whose government will increase nuclear power first?

I'm still curious as to how this is important? Is nuclear suddenly the only option we have?

I agree that Obama is disingenuous about nuclear energy. I dont really think he supports it either.

The US has 104 nuclear power plants currently in operation and here is a nifty map showing where they are...

No... we have plenty of solar energy to collect, lots of wind energy to harness and wave action to capture... and the nice thing about all three of those is there is NO hazardous waste produced...

And that's the only thing that bothers me against nuclear.
So I think it's a good idea to make nuclear subsidies contingent on the best waste reduction, waste recycling, and waste disposal technology...
But of course... the right-wingers will claim that's a barrier- an unnecessary regulation!

But unless some place suddenly volunteers to be the new Yucca Mountain project, it seems necessary.
