Default Would Hillary Clinton be a good VP for Obama?

I think with the support she had during the primaries she would be a great help as second spot on the Democratic ticket in Novemeber. What do you think.

I had an extremely negative view of Hillary Clinton going into this thing, it improved somewhat during the primaries, but I'd still prefer to see a different VP. I wouldn't have a problem with it though.

i think hillary wouldn't make a good vp. mainly because:

1. the two don't see eye to eye.
2. they don't complement each other. There are still huge gaps in the capalities. Obama would be wise to choose someone who will complement his own competenties.
3. Hillary brings with her a critical Bill Clinton. I'd rather have it the other way around (B. Clinton as vp with a hillary on the side)

she doesn't want it. both her and bill despise obama. if she stays in the senate, i see her moving up the ladder a lot this year in regards to chairing certain committees. she will be much more powerful as a senator than as VP. she wants the presidency and will do anything possible, whether it be consulting with her grass roots movements or hierarchy of politicians, to make sure obama loses this year.

If she did accept VP it would only be to ride out 4 years in hopes of being elected prez, or should something bad happen to Obama durring his tenure.......

I disagree. I think we would end up with a three headed hydra in the white house. Obama as the legally elected president. Bill as the former pres who knows where the secrets are buried and what buttons to push. And Hilary as the vp who believes the top job is rightfully hers. I think in that kind of mix Obama would spend more time trying to maintain his authority over the other two than actually getting anything done.

I don't think she is ideal. The people allegedly clinging to Clinton and unable to accept Obama do not seem as though they would change their minds if Hillary was VP... and that would be the only advantage.
For petty reasons, while Hillary is professional enough to get over it, Bill is flipping out over the loss and could carry that with him as Hillary carries him into the White House... On top of that, I think we need to focus on disempowering the VP after Cheney's abuses of that office... Clintons are not conducive to that.

On top of that, despite the ridiculous framing of the campaign, Clinton is on the same side of the party as Obama. They have a petty rivalry brought on by the Clintons' sense of entitlement and Obama's disregard for party royalty. As someone said, they do not complement each other.
Obama needs a somewhat conservative Democrat (albeit a pro-life one), a foreign policy expert, and/or a Catholic.

I couldn't agree more.

The three ring circus would be a distraction.

I don't think she would ever admit it but deep down I don't think she wants an Obama victory. It could mean that he is in office 8 years and i think she would lose all hope of another White House run then. If he loses she will be back on the road in a year or two running again.
