Default Only 'lucky white farmers' may stay in Harare

http://www.int.iol.co.za/index.php?s...9501919479B251

Quote:
Johannesburg - Zimbabwe has warned of more land seizures from the few
whites still farming in that country, ZimOnline reported on Monday. It quoted
Land Affairs Minister Didymus Mutasa as saying: "Only the lucky ones among the
outgoing (white) farmers" could hope to keep their farms. He was asked whether
the government had revoked its promise earlier this month to allocate land to
former white farmers wishing to return to farming."The confusion is being caused
by those who can't read the future. There are black people still landless out
there, and as long as those people remain, we will continue to take farms
forsettlement," Mutasa said. White farmers did not represent the future of
farming in this country; blacks did."At the end of it all, I don't expect to see
any more white farmers, just successful black farmers. But of course like with
everything in life, there are the lucky ones. Only the lucky ones among the
outgoing farmers could remain."Mutasa said the government was clear about the
future of farming in the country and that future was black.Between 400 and 600
white commercial farmers remain on land in Zimbabwe.About 3 500 others have been
evicted from their land since Zimbabwe's controversial land reform programme got
underway in 2000.The largely white-representative Commercial Farmers Union (CFU)
last week said the government had stepped up displacement of the remaining
farmers. It said eviction notices served on 15 farmers from the south-eastern
Chiredzi district had brought to about 80 the number of farmers ordered to leave
in the past five months. - Sapa

Default It is indeed a disastor

Robert Mugabe's government is becomming disaterous. This little dictator is ruining is country ata rate that is quite unbelievable. And he is not just targeting white's (as it seems some want us to think) but also the majority black people in hiscountry struggle, and are ruined under his rule.

And what is my government doing? NOTHING.

President Mbeki of SA will not be handeld positivly by history, and for two reasons, his handeling of the AIDS crisis in his own country, and his handeling of the Zim crisis.

I'm confused, 88punx. *I* think that's terrible. But isn't this exactly the sort of thing you want? Separate white and black countries? Sounds like Mugabe's one of yours, just on the black side.

Default Unfortunately raytri

what's good for the goose is not good for the gander. In fact the geese would prefer that all of the gander were just herded up and shot.
