You can not rehabilitate a psychopath, sociopath, pedophile. There is no pill or therapy on t his planet to cure that twisted mental sickness..........

He may be a teenager, but he is also still a child. The law doesn't treat him as an adult, therefore he must be a child until he turns 18 and comes of age.

And while I agree that you cannot cure something like pedophilia, a pedophile can live without harming a child. That isn't a cure, but it is a kind of rehabilitation.

Mak, when you were 14, did you consider yourself a CHILD?

I didn't - at 14, I already had boobies and had them for a couple yrs and had my period for the same length of time and was babysitting babies & children, cooking full meals for my family, had a bf and going to school dances, movies w/o a chaperone,, etc.... why I was even old enuf and big enuf to take care of myself when my parents weren't home - imagine that! - stuff that children don't have and can't do!

The human race leaves behind the childhood where the child needs adult supervision and moves into the teen yrs of responsibilities and growing independence.... what's so hard about that to understand?

When I was 14, I had no period, and no breasts. I considered myself a child then. When I was 18 I became an adult. That is just how it is, I understand you see it differently, though.

Wow. .... so it took you until the age of 18 to mature physically and mentally/emotionally? Did your parents treat you like you were a little girl during the ages of 13-17? No criticism, just trying to understand this......

No, I just believe that a person becomes an adult when they turn 18. That is all. And my parents were fine, they just worried about me a lot. You get treated differently the older you get, because you take on more responsibilities but I was still a child until I came of age.

Of course, legally the 18 yr old is an adult, but it certainly doesn't mean the 18 yr old is one, emotionally/mentally....

Sorry, but I can't imagine a 15-17 yr old thinking of themselves as a 'child' even if they acted like one.... but whatever worked for you.
