I have been all over this site and I don't see a whole lot written about this subject. I see subjects on drugs and healthcare and Hillary but it's like we forgot about all the pain and suffering that went on that day in September. Leave out the politics.

I felt so sad and then angry that day. I felt my whole world come crashing in on me. I didn't know anyone in any of those places that died and yet I felt like I knew them all. If it were up to me I would show that footage everyday. I would show it to remind all of us what we live and have to fight for. Our Freedom!

I thought it was the Iraqi's freedom we had to fight for because of the WTC attacks ??

Thats was my point, though it may not have been obvious. The September 11th attacks were about a group of people who for one reason or another have a beef with the U.S. They inflicted upon us that tragic day something that will be with the national psyche for at least 100 yrs. (Don't get me wrong, history will remember, but after 100 yrs. no one alive will have witnessed or lived through it.) So I don't know how much you have to go to the replay for clarification, but I do know that the people who did this to us are still at large, and growing. I also know that the current administration played upon Americas fear and thirst for revenge in order to launch an UNJUSTIFIED war in Iraq. So the September 11th attacks and the mess we find ourselves in today make the statement:
completely moot, because these two events are inexorably linked forever in history, thanx to the lies of one Mr. George Bush Jr. IMHO that is.

It is true that 50% of the people thought Saddam Hussein was linked to 9/11. Even though GWB and Colin Powell failed to provide any
proof to the UN (and the rest of the world). If you noticed, they stopped talking about his connection to 9/11 after that.

But it was too late, the american people had already been brainwashed that the two were connected. The rallied patriotism was high enough that Bush probably could have convinced them that France was connected to 9/11 too since some of the planes were flying to Paris.

The how thing is that they just mislabeled the facts. It is unfair to America that our government is telling us that this war is fighting for our freedoms when it isn't at all. Yes, It sucks that 9/11 happened but it was Al-Qaeda which has nothing to do with Iraq. Now though that we are in that country we have to finish the job or it will truly finish just like Vietnam did.
