Default Brazil oil find world's 3rd largest

From this story, Brazil may be the country producing the last barrel of oil on our planet.

Brazilians are wonderful people. Good for them.

There's plenty of oil left all over the World. I'm very interetsed in the Kurdistan and Caucases/Georgia oil and natural gas developments also - a nice pipeline via Ukraine (feature member of EU and NATO) to plug straight into Europe - will do very nicely along with our delevopments in renewables.

And as I posted elsewhere, even us pluky little Scots are sitting oil reserves expected to last 30+ years and would match Kuwait as an oil producer.

The feature looks good !!!

Also, a bit more delevopments with the Russians - all depends on the outcome of the TKN-BP games the Russians are playing - if they want western investment and expertease - they had better modernise and learn how to deal with Western companies or no one will be interested in working with them, and they will remain a commodity based economy, with suspicious customers.....

There is almost no oil left, and it is getting less by the hour. And the demand is constantly increasing. And there is no reason to expect the demand to stop increasing within the foreseeable future.

At what price?

Doesn't matter what the Russians want or don't want. What matters is that there is no reason for the world market price of oil to diminish. The era of oil as a cheap source of energy is over.

I'm sorry Danish - but I really think that you are calling black, white - because there is plenty of Oil reserves to last decades, there are several threads posted (with links) here at PF in the last couple of weeks that indicate Oil is not about to dry up any day now.

Sure us humans are using it up - but there are forces abound that are now making renewable energy more and more common place.

There is no need to panic and decalre the sky is falling in!!!! -

Gradually, slowly, slowly - catchy-monkey humans will evolve to develope alternatives to oil.

But it ain't going to be any day soon - and it doesn;t have to be any day soon either!

Did you mean this before or after the discovery in Brazil?

I think they meant to say there was none left BEFORE the news from Brazil. Apparently the Brazilians missed the memo.

Does anyone really know for sure what oil comes from?

It is formed by condensing the hot air given off by Liberals - the supply is assured for years to come.
