The Demo Memo predicts that John McCain will win in Michigan, despite Romney's personal connection to the state. Romney will come in second and Huckabee third. Fred Thompson and Rudy Giuliani have been busy campaigning in South Carolina and Florida respectively. I can't see how Giuliani somehow thought missing all of these early primaries was a smart thing to do. Perhaps it was just because that was the only place he could find support.
In South Carolina, Huckabee will reprise Iowa and hand Fred Thompson his walking papers. Thompson is out of his league.
Giuliani, Thompson, Ron Paul and perhaps John Edwards will be dropping out after disappointing losses in South Carolina.
On the democratic side, the
latest polls show Hillary Clinton and John McCain with solid leads in South Carolina, but I think that Obama will do much better than expected.
