Prediction #1: Hillary Clinton will surprise everyone and win the Iowa Caucuses. She has the best organization, the most reliable supporters and the strongest campaign leadership. Despite doubts about her electability in the general election, she has the willpower, fundraising prowess and know-how to take it all the way. Don't be hesitant to caucus for her.
Prediction #2: Barack Obama will come in a close second, buoyed by new caucus-goers and independents. Some polls in Iowa are showing that as many as 40% of caucus-goers will be independents, coming out for Obama. We'll see how that turns out.
Prediction #3: Edwards will come in a close third. He has the organization down pat, but his numbers are lagging behind Obama and Hillary in the latest polls.
Prediction #4: Richardson will come in fourth, closely followed by Biden in fifth. Dodd will be sixth.
Prediction #5: Kucinich and Gravel will not be viable in most places and will be knocked out of contention.
Prediction #6: Kucinich, Gravel, Dodd and Biden will drop out by February 6. Richardson will not be far behind. Edwards will try to hang on until after South Carolina, and if he doesn't do well there, will drop out soon afterwards.
