The
NY Times has obtained a copy of a 2005 report
outlining flaws in the government's plans to rebuild Iraq. The report appears to have been suppressed by the U.S. Army.
The Nobel Prize-winning president of East Timor,
Jose Ramos-Horta, was shot but not killed yesterday, while the country's prime minister was simultaneously targeted in an unsuccessful attack by rebels. The violence has further destabilized East Timor, which declared independence from Indonesia 5 years ago.
