Default Serbia Recalls Ambassador - China, Romania and Russia, Oppose Kosovo’s Independence.

Serbia has recalled its ambassador from Washington in protest at US recognition of Kosovo’s independence, saying the US has “violated international law”.
Thousands of ethnic Albanians packed into Pristina to celebrate what they regard as the birth of Europe’s newest country.
People in the Balkans are watching nervously to see how the independence of Kosovo will play in the rest of the region.
Anger mounts in Serb corner of Kosovo

“The EU mission is not welcome here They are intruders, occupiers and abductors of our land,” Marko Jaksic, a hardline local Serb leader, told the crowd. Â(*)
Kosovo’s declaration of independence from Serbia has divided world powers, with France, Britain and Germany leading some EU states in recognising Kosovo, while other nations around the world have declared the move illegal.

The US recognised Kosovo’s newly independent status on Monday. Soon afterwards, Serbia said it was recalling its ambassador in Washington.
“The United States has today formally recognised Kosovo as a sovereign and independent state,” Condoleezza Rice, the US secretary of state, said in a statement.
There are rumblings that other countries seek to declare their independence. Promises for a provacative future in the Balkans.
