Default Obama Rises in the West

In a new CNN/Opinion Research Corp poll, 50% of likely Democratic voters gave Obama the nod. Hillary got 46%. With a margin of error on the poll of 3.5%, this means the two are neck and neck turning into the home stretch.
More importantly, Obama has once again squashed a substantial Clinton lead. If the momentum continues, he'll win Texas and presumably clinch the nomination. With the Texas' primary still more than a week away — "a lifetime in politics" — nothing is certain, but if the past two months are any indication, more time only means more opportunities for Obama to win over Clinton backers.
An interesting statistic from the poll:
Clinton and Obama faced off last Thursday at a presidential debate in Austin, Texas, hosted by CNN and the Spanish-language network Univision. The poll suggests the debate gave Obama a boost.
"Among the one-third of Texas Democratic primary voters who watched all or most of the debate, Obama leads Clinton by 20 points," said CNN senior political analyst Bill Schneider.
"Among the 42 percent who followed news about the debate, Clinton and Obama are neck and neck. And among the one-quarter of Texas Democrats who paid no attention to the debate, Clinton leads Obama by nearly 20 points.
In my opinion, that statistic shows that, not only does the man have charisma to spare, he's got the substance to back it up. What do you make of it?
