On some levels I sort of like the idea, when women move in they think it's permanent situation leading up to marriage, while men just think it is convenient living arrangements.
From England via Marriage Debate
"The plans for a cohabitation law were finalised last year by Government advisers at the Law Commission. They suggested that the better-off partner of a live-in couple that splits up would pay compensation to the other if they have children. A live-in partner would also be liable for compensation once the couple had lived together for more than two years."
It would make people think twice before just moving in, on the other hand we would see a lot of relationships bail right before the two-year living mark. That's the difference when you're married. You're married, no less no more, whether it has been 30 minutes or 60 years. I'm just thinking out loud.
