Bobby Jindal is the first term Governor of Louisiana and first Indian-American governor in the country. Prior to being elected Governor, Jindal served two terms representing Louisiana's first Congressional district.
Jindal would appeal to the conservative base who is still wary of McCain. Jindal has a stronger record than McCain on the right to life and voted with the Republican caucus 97% of the time during the 109th Congress. Additionally, at 36 years old he would add some youth to the ticket.
