The 4,000th American life has been claimed by the Iraq war, according to the AP's count.
Of those 4,000, 97% occurred after May 1, 2003, after Bush declared major combat organizations over. Where has the anti-war movement gone? Cindy Sheehan? Anyone? Note: I was just about to publish this when I got an email citing Senator Robert Byrd's denouncement of the resolution authorizing war over five years ago. This is the Tonkin Gulf resolution all over again. Let us stop, look and listen. Let us not give this president or any president unchecked power. Remember the Constitution.Of course, no one really takes the Old Byrd seriously anymore. (Source Link) |
