Hi. For those of you that do not know me, my name is Mike Stark and I am an incorrigible direct action activist.
A long, long time ago, I got started with my confrontational style of activism by calling into right-wing talk radio shows, saying something truthful and stepping aside to watch the ensuing head explosions. For a long time, this subversive obsession remained a dirty little secret... I mean, really... What kind of geek actually calls talk radio, right?
Well... one day I got through to the flatulent king of right-wing talk radio - Rush Limbaugh. I asked him why Michael Moore and the NBA thugs and Dixie Chicks paid less than one-one-hundredth of one percent of their incomes in social security taxes, when I, as a very hard-working American, had 6% taken out of every paycheck... I was so proud of the call that I posted a diary about it at DailyKos.
The reaction was terrific. I had no idea people would be interested in hearing me talk to dishonest gasbags, but they were!
So I started a blog, CallingAllWingnuts.com. The site is pretty much down for now - I'm having technical difficulties, I'm a law student and I don't have time to work on the fix... But Democrats.com has graciously agreed to allow me to post my content here over the summer.
So...
I'll be calling Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Neil Boortz, Dennis Prager, Jim Bohannon, Michael Medved, Michael (Weiner) Savage and Mark Levin, amongst others... I'll record the audio and post it here.
Expect fireworks. And be prepared to help.
At some point over the summer, we're going to spend some time with Bill O'Reilly. Yesterday he suggested that we are all a bunch of child-molester equivalents (I'll get the audio for you soon). It seems that no matter how many times we discipline that naughty man, he refuses to learn. Well... it's turned into a battle of wills, I guess. We've embarrassed him before - more than once... and we're gonna do it again.
As the summer unfolds, I'll tell you more about me and my adventures with John McCain, George Allen, Sean Hannity, Rick Santorum and, of course, Bill O'Reilly... Until then, look for some audio posts in the coming days...
Finally, I think it is really important to thank the folks at Democrats.com for giving me this opportunity. This is going to be a lot of fun.
