True, but on this forum I obviously can't always voice my opinions. Other wise the statement would have come out rather different.

How so is that?

Well alright then. What I would have called you would have been much MUCH more vulgar. I am, just like every body else on this forum, not allowed to articulate myself in an inappropriate way - it's why I was banned. I called several people stupid, and I was banned for a day.

The government should not be involved at all except when a dispute arises and those disputes should be resolved under contract law. There should be no government involvement in the forming of the partnership and the courts should only become involved if there is a dispute during dissolution of the partnership. The sex of the individuals involved in the partnership and the number of individuals involved in the partnership should not be an issue of government control. The right of forming personal partnerships should be protected under the 9th Amendment to the US Constitution and I find all marriage laws to be in violation of the US Constitution.
I don't know about the violation of the Constitution - but everything else ...

WOW - you are singing my song. Great post!

Marriage can be seen two ways:
Religious and should follow all the rules for getting married as well as divorce as seen by that religion.

Contractual which follows state and federal laws to be a legal marriage.

I think people should be able to do both or choose which which option best suits the needs of the marriage. I feel the contractual version of marriage should be more strict for getting in and out of marriage but should have that loop hole just like in a business. Each contract should be different as reasons for marriage vary as well.
