Months before the US election, I asked on another discussion board, for someone to explain what communism, socialism, left-wing and right-wing, means. I never got an answer, but everyone in the discussion instead started fighting and arguing.

I still dont know what these things mean. But when it comes to American news casting (which I dont trust), parties blast each other for being either EVIL left wing or EVIL right wing

True, just to be a lawyer or politian makes you very evil, and dishonest. lol

Welcome! If a person is "right wing", they typically support more government social control but less economic control. If a person is "left wing", they typically support more government economic control (and wealth redistribution) but less social control. A socialist is basically a liberal who supports even greater wealth redistribution. A communist supports strong government control of both economic and social activities. I hope that this is helpful.
