We try so hard to learn
by learning, we gain knowledge,
knowledge is power
power corrupts
corruption is bad

so why learn?

Just because I have a short attention span doesn't mean

Everyone needs to learn. If everyone learns, everyone will be powerful. If everyone is powerful, everyone is corrupt. If everyone is corrupt, then everyone deserves the bad effects of corruption.
Sometimes I think this is how some people define a democratic republic.

It's not like there's any issue anyway. If you live, you learn. You really can't stop it.

The practice of many here (and it seems to work very well for them ); learn only falsehoods and defend these as eternal truths! Immerse yourself in every quack theory and fortify your ignorance with an ever burgeoning abundance of faith in screeching prophets, howling ninnies and the weird sisters of the apocalypse. Cultivate your gullibility to the point that every huxter, chancer and vagabond populist philosopher will appeal to your 'reason' for a fleeting instant, then to be immediately discarded so that the next one can find acceptance, be in turn discarded. and so on.

In this way you may shield that ignorance which is native to your blood against the disrupting intrusion of learning and knowledge.
