Default If someone is a guest on a news show

is it unusual for a show to pay their expenses? I doubt it. Attack, attack, attack.

He's not just a guest, he's a public servant.

Thanks, you pubs never disappoint, you always come through.

You're motto ought to be "defend to the end"

Default so?

He's still a guest on the show. Are you providing evidence that political guests on tv shows always pay their own way? Your slogan should be "attack even when not logical..especially then."

Default Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought

guests travel costs are paid for. Otherwise it would be hard to get guests. It's not a left/right issue. He was not on public business per se. I don't see a problem here.

I do see a problem with this. Ethics for one. The media should be separate from government. I think it's wrong for any public servant to be doing this. If you know of others, Dem or Pubs, please let me know!

Default You don't think public servants should go on TV?

I think they should be forced to go on TV! I have no issue with Fox asking Tom to go on the show live and paying for his flight, hotel and food. Of course FOX is pretty close to being a GOP PAC, so there might be some issues there, but in general I don't see the big deal. No tax payer money used sounds good to me. If FOX did not pay, you and I would be paying. And that would (*)(*)(*)(*) me off.

That's the problem, you named it right there.

Also, this did not include hotel or meals, some expensive flight! Here's the document. http://www.politicalmoneyline.com/do...terfoxtrip.pdf

Default It is very expensive, but

it's FOX money. IMO it's no big deal.

To you it's not. To me, it is!

Are you sure the government (taxpayer's) doesn't pay travel expenses?
