iwould absolutely say yes, but i just dont trust american justice system anymore: the next thing u know, only rapists have balls...

I think I'd like other people's opinions before making any big speeches on the issue for my presidential campaign.

Now before anyone accuses me of being soft on crime, let me explain. Our system is basically pretty good. But as someone wrongfully accused of a crime I can I tell you it's far from perfect. (It's the whole "human" part). There really are thousands of innocent people in jail. Many are on death row and many have even been killed and then later exonerated. I have no sympathy for rapists and frankly don't care if we kill them on the spot. But being convicted of rape is NOT the same thing as being a rapist. I saw some shocking stat on Good Morning America six or so months back regarding the number of "rapists" set free since the advent of DNA testing. I don't recall the exact number, but it was sizable. So, I oppose castration because it would be the ultimate insult to convict a guy of rape, throw him in jail and then castrate him, only to find out 10 years later that he didn't do it!

Not that it bothers me per se, but if he's in jail what's the point? Seems like an expense we could do without.

1) That isn't eye for an eye. Eye for an eye would be putting him in a cell with a large horny drunk named Bubba.
2) This is a scary thing about our system. A lot of rapists in jail are innocent. Most of the guilty ones are walking free. Perhaps we should look more into ways to prevent rape in terms of making the causes and warning signs less socially acceptable and in getting more women into self-defense training. The system clearly isn't working.
