Default Holiday Greetings From the White House

Anyone who says "Happy Holidays, Seasons Greetings", etc. instead of "Merry Christmas" has been demonized by the religious right.

Well looky here, the White House is doing it too!

Default This is getting out of hand

All over the world atrocities are being commited everyday- war, poverty, famine, oppression, etc, and this is what the religious right is worried about? Get over yourselves. Well since they're gonna be offended no matter how I say it, I'd like to wish you all a very Merry Mother(*)(*)(*)(*)ing God(*)(*)(*)(*)ed Chrismas!

Default as long

As America is considered a state with NO religion,if bush would have said happy christamss, that would be hurting many of his citizens.
i heard the christian groups are working for "christianizing" america.they want the winter break to become christmass break, and holiday greeting cards to become christian cards....well unless the constitution is changed it's not right for this to happend. beside,i dont see what the fuz is about.the all western world is a christian world any way.the christian are a majority in the western world.

oh and another thing: goerge bush is a little anti shemi, just like every1....(im not complaining)....every christian is borned with a little hatret to other religions(jews and moslems),just like jews are born with a little hatret to christians and moslems.just like every islamic person is borned with hatret to jews and christians. it's not what ur born with,it's what u choose to do with that hateret...that's the choice that makes people good and bad.

Default Is there nothing you won't complain about?

I heard they use White Cloud toilet tissue at the Whitehouse. Isn't that a little extravagant when they could be buying generic tissue and saving the taxpayers a little money?

Get a life! When someone would stoop so long as to complain about the Whitehouse Christmas cards I got to think you are just nit-picking.

BTW, Happy Holidays is just as much a religious greeting as Merry Christmas. Holiday comes from Holy Day. Don't tell anyone though, they may try to ban that too!

Yeah...and I bet they're paying $2000 a roll for it, too.

Default ...

Happy Holidays is generic religion, so only atheists can really offended by it.
Then again, I think Christmas is a pretty generic holiday too, and most atheists in the country celebrate it. People are just too uptight.
But I think I will complain about the Christmas cards. Sure, the cost of the cards, the envelopes, the postage probably doesn't add up to much in federal budget terms but... It's totally USELESS!!! It doesn't have any real purpose, real or intended. So though it's not a huge waste of money, it is a complete waste of money.

Default ...

In the post-9/11 world, shouldn't they be sending cards with hidden microphones that are mandated to be placed in the living room and kept there for a year and with a message in them like "Thank God Your Holiday has not Been Destroyed by the Forces of Evil!"
