Default Whose Ethics Do You Support?

It is my opinion that one's system of ethics is the basis of one's political thought. That is certainly the case with me. This test tells you which ethicist or group of ethicists you most agree with. I should note, however, that like many Internet test, it gives you a "100%" match with your top match whether you actually agree with that person or group on 100% of the questions or not. Here is the quiz, followed by my results:

http://selectsmart.com/PHILOSOPHY/

1. Aquinas (100%)
2. Kant (86%)
3. John Stuart Mill (80%)
4. Jeremy Bentham (75%)
5. Jean-Paul Sartre (74%)
6. Aristotle (68%)
7. Ayn Rand (65%)
8. St. Augustine (64%)
9. Plato (63%)
10. Ockham (63%)
11. Stoics (52%)
12. Spinoza (50%)
13. Prescriptivism (47%)
14. Epicureans (43%)
15. Nel Noddings (32%)
16. Nietzsche (30%)
17. David Hume (24%)
18. Cynics (16%)
19. Thomas Hobbes (0%)

I wonder what questions are missing. Somehow I don't see myself as being over 70% like Hobbes or Nietsche. Can't stand them.

Well, many people think that Nietzsche was a supporter of totalitarianism. He wasn't. After he was dead, his sister, who was pro-Nazi, distorted his works to turn them into Nazi propaganda. His actual ideas are in many ways similar to those of Ayn Rand.

But he nonetheless believed in the natural superiority of some over others. Whether or not this is racist is of no significance to me. I don't believe in "ubermensch".

That is true. I don't know why you got a 72% match with his ideas.
