Do you have any hopes on oil from Baku-Tbilisi-Jeihan oil
Do you have any hopes on oil from Baku-Tbilisi-Jeihan oil pipeline? You may well leave it aside. I say it as an industrialist moving in oil business circle. I’ve always considered B-T-J as merely political and unprofitable. Also it is unreliable, risky and having no future. And we should blame Georgia for it.
This country has always been corrupted and in friendly terms with terrorists. I myself didn’t take seriously Saakashvivli’s refuse in co-operation with Chechen militants (visit in Turkey) and in giving them asylum for winter. In my opinion it was made too ostentatiously and those terrorists were too astonished and infuriated.
Now Georgian President’s muddled brains would cause raise of instability and highly explosive situation in the country. Most likely that enraged terrorists would begin taking revenge on Georgia. There might be new acts of terrorism. And those militants have enough experience in striking blows in the most important and painful points. Firstly in Georgia it would be oil sector.
On the other hand Saakashvili’s rash resolve might be imposed by USA. Probably Georgian President had no choice and their further co-operation in USA coalition depended on his decision. Then for Georgia things look bad. Americans had never lifted a finger for their allies’ sake without their own profit.
