That passage refers to a group of people who failed to follow Judaism properly. These are the words of Christ (emphasis mine):

Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:22-24)

Once again, Christ stated that those who intend to follow the truth are in God's grace. Jesus, as a person, referred to himself twice in John 4:22 as a Jew. If you attack Jews, therefore, you are attacking Jesus Christ.
