And, hypothetically speaking, if what you are saying is true about 90% of what people believe being unsupported by factual evidence, then what that means is that 90% of the people are incredibly stupid people who just aren't smart enough to question what they hear or read.

good or bad are relative terms and thus based on personal preference based on individual experience. Who you believe is a good president may not be someone else's view. Thus, this whole topic is rather pointless.

I consider Warren G. Harding, Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton to be the only true failures among twentieth century Presidents. I haven't studied many nineteenth century Presidents, so I can't comment on most of them. Thomas Jefferson was a failure as a human being but not as a President.
