Never before have Americans had such a need for a legitimate third party. It has become clear that neither the Republicans or Democrats represent the interest of the American people, they just represent their own interest. I fully admit that there are exceptions on both sides, I find (R)Sen. McCain to be an honorable man, I also find (D) Gen. Clark to be an honorable man. I just feel no party really represents the people anymore. Our governing body should be representative of it's demographic, and for those of you wondering, we are not all upper class white men. You can't have people who have never known what it is like to be poor deciding what a good welfare program is. You can't have people who spent their childhood in prep schools and ivy league universities making policy for public education when they don't know what it is like to sit on a bus for 5 hours a day to go to an over-crowded school. What do you think?

Demosthenes-
I like you ideas and especially your name- Assume you are also a fan of "Ender's Game" or simply willing to die for what you stand for? Please contribute to the Mickey in 04 thread- The idea is to find a way to bypass the policies of extremes that rule the system today as opposed to working with most of the candidates that are already out there- Read the attached essay, or skip to the bottom ¼ of the essay to get an idea of the platform that "Mickey" suggests might be a model for working together from all ends of the spectrum to build a system where everyone can thrive. Cheers http://vote-mickey-04.blogspot.com/ Let’s start a conversation about change |
