The critical underlying mistake. Attempting to increase the role of government.

Obama has literally done almost EVERYTHING Wrong.
But he broke Abe Lincoln's golden rule ... Where if you forfeit
the confidence of the people ,you can Fool some of the people'
blah blah blah.
But THE biggest and most appaling thing that Obama has
done wrong is NOT listen to the people.
The Tea Party's spoke in April,then in the Fall.The Town Halls
over the summer and into the fall.The Polls also show discontent
with Congress and in particulat the Health Care Reform push.
Then Virginia,New Jersey and of course Massachusetts.
Even his own member in Congress have telegraphed a growing
concern that Obama is on the wrong track.Dodd advised to
slow it down.So did Barbara Boxer.Even Barney Frank.
These are all Telltale signs of what Obama has and did DO Wrong.
Obama is forcing his radical Agenda on America,and even his own party.
That is wrong,no matter the amount of Spin.

You mean the stimulous package? Which is about all he has done. And Republicans agreed was necessary in some form or other.

If he had not "increased government" in that way you would be more of a basket case than you are now.

I agree with most of the replies so far. He has been way too soft and copenhagen was an absolute embarassment. However, im still not willing to give up on him because of those things.

Whats also interesting is that the right wingers (who are a clear majority on this forum) who constantly bash Obama arent here to defend their beliefs. With all the anti Obama threads here you would think that they would be willing to explain their beliefs but no.

Ombams´crimes was that america had to high expectations on him. I guess they prefer Bush, we didnt expect anything from him and we didnt get anything expect a bloated federal deficit an a quagmire. A politician is more repected when hes stupid and when hes intelligent. We just expect Obama to change all the wrongs of the past 8 years. Why?

Yes he can! Hell sufficate on his own campaign slogan.

Has Obama performed perfectly in all situations? Absolutely not. No President can be said to hold that title.

However, the main thing that he did "wrong" was get elected president after 2 terms of George Bush and 6 years of total Republican rule. Foreign policy was wrecked, domestic infrastructure was left to rot, 2 wars were started with a military supposed to fight a "war on terror" but hamstringed by being stretched to their operational limit (2 concurrent fronts) and on top of all that, an economy that was on the brink of collapse.

The next main thing he did wrong was to expect that the Right would want to actually work with him to get the country back on the right track. Unfortunately, the Right is primarily interested in spreading lies, (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)ing and moaning, impeding progress and generally doing everything they can to clog up the works.

The next main thing, which is related a bit to the previous "wrong", was that he waited to long to get aggressive with his opponents. Now that the economy is showing signs of reversing the Republican Recession and the recession has officially been declared as having ended, Obama is starting to fight back against the lies and the "No, we can't!" attitude of the rights partisan hacks. This will hopefully continue as the political capital that Obama gains from the economic recovery will start to earn interest in the months ahead.

Will that save health care reform? Probably not. So Americans can sit back and watch as more and more people are dropped from the health insurance roles and premiums continue to outpace inflation. Then watch, the right will turn right around and blame the Dems for not passing health care reform. It's the right's MO these days.
