Okay, here is my point. We have had all of our qualities and capabilities since conception in progressing forms. We describe characteristics as suddenly appearing only for the sake of convenience. An arm develops from something else, which in turn develops from something else and so forth. Adult thinking capability is no different. In science, we are no more than the sum of cells and so all qualities that we possess, including consciousness, vary in degree but have existed in us since conception. The only absolute distinction that can be made is based on genetics. Either a zygote is part of the mother or is a distinct person. Since a zygote is genetically distinct, a zygote is the latter.

He does not represent the movement. However, there is some truth to what Andy Rooney said. He stated that he is pro-life but that pro-choice people are generally easier to get along with.
