Iraq should be given a choice.. if the majority of Iraqis want US help then they should stand up and get involved.. if the majority of Iraq does not stand up and get involved; it should be decided that they do not want US help.. and we should leave. Currently, it seems the majority do not want our intervention. USA is assisting the minority of Iraq that USA would like to see run that country.. It is wrong to intervein with the will of the Iraqi people. USA and other countries should leave Iraq and allow Iraq to build and develop their own country their own way.. its not surrendering to terrorism its called allowing the will of the people..

Let Iraq stand for itself? And what good would come of that? We have gone past the point where we had a choice in this matter; the Iraqis must be trained to protect their own country, and we must do the training. If we simply leave and let the Iraqis "run their own country," that country would be overrun by insurgents and become a haven for all the anti-American, anti-Semetic, anti-Christian suicidalists wanting training to destroy the United States. Whether or not the majority of Iraqis want us to stay in their country, we must complete our duty--for Iraq, for Israel, for ourselves.

They have already done that. Through their elected representatives.

Explain to me why we should not let their elected representatives decide if they want US help. Thats the way it works over here, right?

On what do you base this assumption? That is not what the available Poll data indicates. Only a small minority want us to leave immediately.

Iraq has decided they want us there. Both the words pf the elected government and unofficial polls support this conclusion. Please post your evidence to the contrary.

By leaving immediately, we are denying the will of the Iraqi People.

Iraq will not become a terrorist haven.. it will become a country based on the will of its own free people.. right now we are pouring our money and resources into Iraq... training their troops who go through our training program.. as the Iraqi finish our training program they are collecting a check and QUITTING!!... so if anything, right now we are training them to fight us! We must stop what we are doing and tell the Iraqi people to stand up for themselves... we toppled the regime of Saddam.. made an opening for them to take charge now its up to them to decide the fate of the new Iraq.

now, if in some small chance they do start building terrorist facilities after we pull out... we bomb the facility. Job done.. move on.. If anything, our staying there will lead to our destruction.. us leaving now will sustain our survival. Its in our best interest in everyway our duty to do what is in the best interest of the USA and no other country would do anything different.. Spain left, is anyone demoralizing them? NOPE.. they did the right thing for themselves and its now our time to do the same. We did our best, now its on them.

A small minority of them are. There are still more Iraqi troops there right now than US troops.

The vast majority of them are not fighting us. Poll data indicates the opposite actually.

Already did that. Thats why we are training them. And why they are eagar to be trained.

Democracies in general are not hospitable to terrorists. That part of the reason terrorists hate them so much.

We will survive regardless. You arnt the first and wont be the last to underestimate us.

The survival of the Iraqi democracy is in our best interests.

Appeasment doesnt work in the long term. Once terrorists know they can manipulate you, their attempts to do so will only increase.

Leaving pre-maturely = half assed. A half-assed job = our best? Even liberals on here dont agree with that.
