Look at all of the problems in our society. Nearly all of them are caused by men. Male power madness, aggression and concupiscence have destroyed the moral potential of civilization. I write as a man, by the way. Therefore, I support allowing only women to be in the United States Congress and to be President. Furthermore, I support allowing only women to vote. I hope that this doesn't offend anyone, and I recognize that some men (including some on this site) are good. Women are far superior ethically on average, however. I appreciate all replies. Thank you very much.

If women were in the position of men, they would become like men. It is the structure of our society that creates what we view as gender roles. By segregating people, you give power to one group. The privileged group will take advantage of its privilege and do what it must to keep other groups from taking those privileges. The discriminated group will try as hard as it can to gain access.
Since your "solution" would not even change gender roles, but merely status, men would use traditionally masculine techniques to gain power- ie, you'll see a tremendous rise in domestic violence.
Mentally there is very little difference between men and women other than what is taught to them.
Note that the only dictator in India's 50-year history was female. Women can be domineering. Men can be compassionate.
What you call for is ascription, destiny by birth...
Exactly what feminists were always fighting against!

Actually it is true that one of the biggest indicators to domestic violence is relative income. If the man has less income (less power + less status as "a man"), he feels the need to assert himself. If the only way he has left at his disposal is violence.
But that is not always true. My fiancee will likely make more money than I will. I'm fine with it because I don't care about male traditional roles. That's because traditional roles are socialized, not biological.
Women will gain power in society as they prove they can work as hard. Many companies are voluntarily seeking out women due to superior skills in human resources on average. Personally I think that's dumb, because it's an assumption based on averages. But it is a sign that women are gaining status in this country.
Trying to force men under will only result in setting everything that has been gained back. Have faith in women's power to help themselves. There are areas in our society where women do need help and they are getting that help from other women at a grassroots level (HAVEN, in India there's an organization called SARTHI that empowers rural women).

The main issue here, to be honest, is that I am a self-hating man. I shouldn't let that affect my politics, however, and I once again apologize to all women for unintentionally insulting their self-reliance.

Yeah, my wife makes (a lot) more money than I do, and this is how we deal with it. We adhere strictly to the "rule of thumb" (if the stick has a diameter any greater than my thumb, I can't use it for beating with).
