Whats the difference between national defense and healthcare
Something has been bothering me lately, I dont understand what the differnce between a solder is and what a doctor is. We have an army to protect other people from killing us. We have doctors to protect us from diseases and viruses killing us.
So why is it ok for the gov. to spent money on defense but not nationalized healthcare. Aren't they really the same? One prevents bad guys from killing us, the other prevents disease from killing us.
Its seems especially relevant because money spent on healthcare provides a much greater net worth, since disease/viruses kill millions of people, while bad guys only kill a relatively small number of people.
I need some opposition to my idea before I endorse nationalized healthcare.
