A Question for Libertarians
I will now use right libertarian logic and see if those who profess to support it actually believe in it. Since I have seen libertarian rhetoric to the effect that nothing should be illegal if it doesn't involve obvious physical coercion, I will now argue (sarcastically) that I should be able to start a form of entertainment consisting of death matches between drug addicts. As long as I didn't force them to become drug addicts, if two addicts are so desperate for their next fix that they are willing to fight to the death for money, the one who dies "chose" the risk and essentially committed suicide (which, in libertarianism, is none of the government's business either). I should be allowed to pay them to go in cages and fight to the death and get a crowd of paying spectators to see it. I think such an "enterprise" could make a surprisingly high profit. Now if one truly follows right libertarian logic, I should not be penalized in any way for doing this. Of course, if you consider yourself a libertarian and you disagree, I have to ask... why? If you think this "business venture" should be illegal, in your answers I will show you why other libertarian ideas don't make sense either.
