Interesting. The same people who say we installed puppet regime in Iraq will also say we lost the war there.

Isn't the war actually over? I thought we were in occupation and peacekeeping now.
Well, I guess it's considered war for the purpose of expanding executive power... I guess it's all pretty arbitrary since Congress doesn't declare war anymore. I guess since we've had a standing military, we've accepted a perpetual state of war in which the executive has no limitations in declaration of war (except that one resolution that Congress ignores because it would rather not get involved and leave all the blame on the President).
Oh well. I say the war is over. I suppose it's all a matter of perception. We won. It's just our prize really sucks.

The most optimistic estimates say insurgents count for less than 1/10 of 1% of the Iraqi population (even if you include supporters numbering over 10 times their estimates numbers). Sorry, but 99.9% vs .1% is hardly a war.

Yes, there is a possibility (IMO small) that a real civil war could erupt. But there is no war right now, civil or otherwise.
