I teeter back and forth between liberalism and libertarianism and make my home somewhere in between. Shocker since most American libertarians think of themselves as being more right-aligned.
I'm pretty uncompromisingly libertarian on social issues and more fiscally right than the average liberal (in the short term) but I tend to feel that if everyone worked hard in the capitalist sense, the system would fail to be legitimate and we'd see change of some sort. As such I take a moderate stance on economic issues, so I'm left one minute and right the next.
All in all I think all ideologies are flawed.
But at the moment the Libertarian (big L) party's platform is about the closest to my stance on most issues. I belong in the little subgroup of the LP that's really anticorporate and p!$$es off all the mainstream libertarians.

No, stekim is on vacation in Belize right now, but he is a regular and a member of the LP. Ikari is another libertarian. Hansmoleman is a neolibertarian (hawkish libertarian) and heikstheo could be called a left libertarian, somewhat like JavaBlack in his political ideology. I'm definitely not a libertarian, though I'm not exactly sure what I am.

There are about four regular libertarian's. There is stekim (a member of the LP), JavaBlack and me (I'd say we are liberal-libertarians who tend to lean right fiscally) and Hansmoleman (a right libertarian). Then there the other posters who do not contribute regularly they are Ikari (a hardcore libertarian) and Heikstheo (who I think is a left libertarian. I'm not too sure and I don't think he is.).

So yes, we are a minority, but a fairly sizable one considering the number of regular posters.

This pretty much sums it up for me too. Though I don't think I would generally be considered a libertarian. I think I fall outside of the ideology just enough so that my commonality with the ideology isn't recognized.
