There isn't a point, really. He's just providing further evidence that he's insane. See, people like Shamgar usually populate trailer parks, working at minimum wage jobs to pay their lot rent. On weekends, they hope to have enough left over to buy some beer, weed and crystal meth. Well, ol' Shammie isn't as dumb as he looks. He decided that he wanted out of that life... working for peanuts down at the sewage treatment plant. So he (mis)quotes the Bible and goes on a rant a day. Ya see, a rant a day adds up to SSI pay. He wants disability pay for being nuts.

My guess is this all started when he found out that his father was Black and his mother was Jewish. I wonder if he can paint (bad) pictures or has a fascination with the occult? I wonder when signs of his closet homosexuality will begin to surface?
