Default I am for it in cases of absolute guilt!!! DNA, video, etc...

I am for life on all circumstantial cases!!!

Moose-owwy admits he had information that could have stopped the deaths of thousands and he admits it and praises his peers for completing their task!! Just for the fact that he smirks at the pictures of the dead, shows he is not a candidate for early release!!

I SAY FRY the bastard!!! No great loss here!!!

I am 100% opposed to the death penalty, but like abortion and immigration, there is absolutely no point in debating it.

I'm against it. Don't think it does any good. It also gives power over life-or-death to the state and denies a human the spiritual right to learn in prison. The latter part is debatable since it is a spiritual argument, but the other two are my anchors.
I suppose I can budge when it is provable that a particular person can somehow kill people from behind bars, such as certain terrorist leaders- though martyring them often has similar effect.

what was it gandalf said to frodo, "Dont be too eager to dispense death and judgment." i think the man is insane and i would not execute an insane person.
but that's me. i have no doubt that he will face judgment one way or the other.

Default I'm not eager to despense death on anyone???

They chose the path, let the consequences of their actions be the result of their own demise!!! Stop blaming society because some scum bag, took the life of another for their own selfish reasons!!!

I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt, for circumstantial cases!! But if they are really a threat to society, I see no reason to place them in storage?? That's a burden!!! A burden law abiding citizens should not carry!!!

Against it. Not that I'm concerned with killing violent criminals, mind you, but the death penalty costs way too much money; lifetime incarceration is cheaper on the taxpayer.

i am against any death penalty, it's idiotic to kill any criminal, because pain lasts only a few seconds and then the criminal is free, while the families of victims feel pain for a long time.

the right thing to do is have labor camps where they are forced to work and very hard, obviously these can not be run by corporations as is our government, or the next thing you know we are all slaves. anyway, this can not be achieved in a country like USA which is already run by corporations, so forget it, it's a helpless situation. any country which needs to kill people needs a regime change: if i was a leader, criminals would actually fear to commit crime, because punishment would be harsh, not death and no lawyers could save a rich person,

Default .

Child molestation is almost nonexistent in the Middle East.
Do you want to know why?
It is because they hang their child molesters after the first time.

Does it cost more to execute a criminal than to keep the criminal alive? How much does each of their appeals and lawsuits cost? Who knows, the Dems might even give them the right to vote.
In China, executions are cheap. Just bill the parent the cost of one bullet.

Death may or may not be a deterrent, but it is a permanent solution to a problem so keep the death penalty alive.
