I hope I have this right. If an illegal immigrant is given American citizenship then they would also still be citizens of Mexico. That is what leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I don't like dual citizenship and definately don't trust them.

Now if they want to sign papers denouncing their Mexican citizenship and only have U.S. citizenship then fine. But as long as they can commit crimes here and then run back to Mexico for protection then no.

Now if Mexico sent criminals back to us for prosecution then fine but that's not the way it is right now. So that's how far I'm willing to give. I bet not one illegal would be willing to do that.

Exactly! If you want to be a U.S. citizen and not a Mexican citizen then I could live with that. Of course I think that standard should be applied to all dual citizens. Pick one and quit playing two sides of the fence.

You're talking about people who do have citizenship when you talk about dual citizens. How does that in any way reduce the number of illegals in the country? Do you think people would see losing Mexican citizenship as a deterrent? Somehow I doubt that's the first thing on the mind of someone who emigrates to get away from their country's crappy economy.

Why take their Mexican citizenship? They won’t be able to go home legally, and Mexico takes a hard stand against illegal immigration. They would be thrown into prison if they enter Mexico illegally. Do you want that to happen?

Not only would this "solution" not work as a deterrent from illegal immigration. It would act as a deterrent to coming out in the open and taking legal channels toward citizenship.

I think it is the perfect solution. Close the borders down. Any illegals caught can have a chose. U. S. or Mexico. The ones that love this country will choose the U.S. and the rest can be shipped home.

Put them in box cars and ship them back to Mexico. That is the best way to defeat the Marxist agenda. Those devils do not have the right to promise anything of ours to anyone. The moral thing to do is defeat their agenda. Defeating their agenda for globalization is the most important thing we can do.

As a matter of fact, urge the immigrants to go back to Mexico, move themselves in to those rich mansions and make the Marxists serve their needs for a change. The lower classes are more honorable than those at the top. They deserve to share the wealth in that country instead of letting those Marxist pigs have it all.

Ginna I agree with you but what is it going to take to get any of the illegals to leave? I don't think many would ever denounce their Mexican citizenship. At least we could say we gave them a reasonable option and they themselves picked one. Then we could start shipping them back.

Eleven million Illegals in the US have three million children who are American Citizens....what about the children??... Legal US born citizens placed in boxcars and sent to a to a foreign country? Will they be Illegals in Mexico? Do you advocate sending American children to refugee camps in Mexico? Isn't that comparable to what the Nazis did to their undesirables?
