I know it's been a while since anybody's mentioned her name. But this case touched me deeply. I literally felt the pain of her family. It was unbelievable. In any event, I thought I'd share with you some blogs I wrote during this tragic case. Please keep in mind that when I wrote these blogs, I was angry, sad, and depressed all at the same time. So you get a blend of emotions here.
I believe this case left a BLACK EYE on the face of America, just as the O.J. Simpson case left a black eye in our justice system! Take care all. Jorge http://jorgepsousa.com/TERRISCHIAVOPAGE.html |

I too was depressed by the whole ordeal. A brain dead woman, who had been a vegetable for over a decade was finally going to recieve the diginity of being laid to rest, and the rest of the country got up in arms over what should have been a private affair. Truly sickening indeed.
Oh god, I'm reading through that blathering blog now. What is this crap, comparing Terri to Jesus? She's no saint, and certainly no messiah. Give the exaggerated comparisons to Christ a rest. All your coincidences are actually just that, and I am a believing Christian. She wasn't "starving," her brain had long since stopped feeling pain. In fact, all medical knowledge talks about how even those with cognitive capacity enter a state of euphoria as the body slowly shuts down. Your writings are hysterical non-sequiters combined with idiotic talking points. Give it a rest. |

In addition, even if her brain had not shut down as to prevent suffering, she was in a hospice situation where her comfort was being maximized as she died. It's nothing like starving because you're living in a third world country and can't get food for your family- you know, the stuff we turn a blind eye to.
Just not as sexy as euphanesia I suppose.
