Depends of the muslim..

I have known few muslims, who were undoubtly good people.. Then there are terrorists and some muslim immigrant groups, who have distinguished themselves with murders, rapes and stuff.. I don't know.. People are different.. A religion doesn't make good man evil or evil man good.. It has impact only so and so far..

The ME culture is another thing.. Like I have said before, the Islamic World is waiting for their own age of enlightenment.. The people should get educated and aware of the political life to make a working democracy possible.. And the democracy has been historically the only efficient way to clear out corruption and bring some sanity to the national governing..

And hey it did work.. You got Hamas to replace the corrupted Fatah..

And - well - you got also all the other things ~ like leadership supporting violence, the world reaction and a nation next to bankcrupcy..

I didn't say that you shouldn't support militant Islam, I do believe that though. I don't believe anyone should support militant anything.

What I did say was that I hoped you didn't use Malcolm X's words to support militant Islam or militant socialism. Because I don't believe that is what Malcolm X was about.

He was about 'Any means necessary' and to me that means the best means possible. And violence is rarely the best way.

But I suppose that is because I'm a wish-washy liberal (in the eyes of certain trigger happy folks) and a cheese eating surrender monkey. You know, 'make love not war'.

But I'll make war if forced too.

People die in America every day. While suffering is certainly more widespread in 3rd world countries than in the US, suffering is hardly unique to your area of the world.

I agree. It sucks. One thing you do have control over is your political representatives...so elect people that are willing to compromise.

A lot of your suffering can be directly blamed on your leaders, and you have the power to change your leaders. That is more than most Middle-East Muslims can say.

It didnt say anything to me I have not already heard before. Reason and logic has far more impact here than emotion does.

Supporting militant Islam will not get you want you want. Though it might make you feel better in the short term.

Compromise is in your own best interest as well as Israel's.
