Default Bush's approval ratings are up again

It appears as though there's a trend from a week or two ago. It's up again slightly to 38%.

Here's the link from Gallup:

http://poll.gallup.com/content/?ci=23305

Quote:
PRINCETON, NJ -- A new USA Today/Gallup Poll, conducted in the days following U.S. air strikes that resulted in the death of Iraqi terrorist leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, shows Americans have slightly more positive views of the Iraq war and George W. Bush's performance in office than prior to last week. Bush's approval rating, now at 38%, had shown some positive movement even before al-Zarqawi's death and is now his best since February 2006. And Americans are slightly less inclined to say the U.S. made a mistake in sending troops to Iraq, though a majority still does. The majority of Americans believe al-Zarqawi's death was a major achievement for the United States, but only 1 in 5 expects there will now be fewer insurgent attacks in Iraq as a result.

It's like this bubba...

When it dropped a point or two we'd get a report from ben-Franklin on one of his "bubble boy" posts. (The libs need to get a little more imaginative with the nicknames) There was an incipid gloating each and every time there was a poll showing the approval rating dropping. I bet there must be a dozen of them. Well, now turnabout is fair play.

I could actually not care less about approval ratings. But I stated back then that the best way to shut up a detractor was to show a poll of Bush in a favorable light. This proves it.

I figure as long as it goes up, I'll post the notifications since we know no one else will.

What's interesting to note... Bush doesn't care either way. He'll continue to do his job as he sees it. I just like to tweak the libs a bit. I figure noetsi will drop by later and dazzle us with his creative math.

He IS an expert you know....

The pundits are calling this the "Zarqawi bump".

Boy, that sounds just like something out of the 70's. Gimme a gold vest and an afro....

Default USA Today comments

http://www.usatoday.com/news/washing...-results_x.htm

Quote:
By Bill Nichols, USA TODAY
WASHINGTON — In the wake of terrorist leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's death, President Bush is seeing improvement in public confidence that the Iraq war is winnable, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll shows.
The new poll found that 48% believe the United States probably or definitely will win the war, up from 39% in April. It also found that 47% believe things are going well in Iraq, up from 38% in March.

The survey, taken Friday to Sunday and released Monday, also showed Bush's approval rating going up to 38% from 36% earlier this month and an all-time low of 31% in May. The poll news came as Bush and members of his Cabinet met at Camp David to discuss ways to help the recently formed government in Iraq.
Have a nice day!

Default hmm.... speaking of conspiracies....

You don't find it the least bit curious that Bushie happened to "bump" Zarqawi just as his poll numbers reflected the least popular President in US history (or nearly, anyway)?

Yeah, it's kinda funny to watch the public perception. We "get" one bad guy, and suddenly the public's confidence in "winning in Iraq" jumps from 38% to 47%.

Dumb sheeple....

He was one of their better boogymen and I just wonder if they would have got rid of him if it had not been for that video that made him look silly. The one that showed he couldn't even use a weapon without help.

I think they miss him already. They'll have to find another fierce scary guy real fast to replace him.

Default Seems kind of funny

When a President and his followers have to brag when his poll numbers come out of the sewer and back into the toilet, just one man's opinion. Peace.
