this time-line (as I used to do so when I came across the article sometime last year).
The first claim is that a school friend of Malcolm's called Bebee saw Malcolm demand that a boy they caught wanking, knock him off too (a claim that is not backed up with any evidence). This would be despite the fact that Malcolm had no school friends due to him being the only black child in his school. The next claim is that when Malcolm was living in Flint his roommate claimed he would run off to spend the night with a transvestite. This, apparently, was when he was 20 and also having sex with men for money. Despite the fact that at the age of 20, Malcolm was living in Harlem pushing dope and was later sentenced to eight to ten years in prison for larceny, breaking and entering, and carrying a weapon. It is also claimed that while living in NY, Malcolm was paid to sprinkle talcum powder on a man called Lennon until he ejaculated. According to Malcolm's autobiography, this job was done by a dude who was in Malcolm's armed robbery gang. This would also be whilst he was living as a drug dealer and was having an adulterous affair with a wealthy white woman called Ella, so there was no motive to do the job (financial or sexual). The rest of the article is just assumptions based on his relationship with his mother, his lack of a male role model (his father was killed by the KKK when he was 6) and his professed distrust of women, a distrust he held about all people besides Alex Hayley, his wife and (for a time) Ellijah Muhammed, all of whom he claims to of only trusted '75%'.
IOW, based on the evidence provided in the Guardian article, Malcolm X wasn't gay.
