My question to what you said, isn't to question whether or not you're right, because... well you are right about a lot of it. But don't you think Iran has a bigger motivation than just having fun with America and Israel? Because IF that's all they're doing, then sure. But it won't last. Bush isn't going to prez for much longer, things WILL change. So does Iran have an end-game? I think they do. I think they're trying to win the chess match and say "check-mate" to us and Israel, and that means Israel's destruction and the end of American influence in the world. If not, then it'll all blow over. If they hesitate and wait too long, it'll all blow over. I'm actually pulling for the all-blow-over scenario.

Or did George Bush do that too? The US will never invade Iran. It would go nuclear before that happened. But your previous question was a pretty good one. What is George Bush's next move? Sanctions. They won't do a thing, but it will give him the appearance of doing something so the US can buy some time. The US needs the time if they're serious about helping the reformers in Iran, and they need the time so for Afghanistan and Iraq to strengthen to the point they can exert influence against Islamic facism in the region. It would strengthen the Arab moderates in the region. War inflames the radicals, so there are only two real options right now in my opinion. All-out war which is truly unthinkable. Or building up the moderates and democracies in the region even if it means absorbing a WMD terrrorist strike. Unfortunately, a WMD strike by Hezbollah, Hamas or Al Queda would make all the rules fly out the window. Another unfortunately, any attack, including a retaliatory strike would play into Iran's hands. And if I was Iran, I'd push the current advantage and try very hard to get Israel or the US to attack.

Yes... that's good. Reduce yourself to stupidity in the middle of a serious debate... that you started.
I'm not sticking up for any murderers, and I certainly don't read the tabloids. I don't sit around making things up, I know this to be a fact. America's economy is more or less based on the Oil-Dollar deal struck up about 40 years ago by OPEC which declares all oil to be sold and bought in US Dollars. So one must have US Dollars. How do you get US Dollars? You sell to someone with US Dollars. So America has an array of colonies around the globe exporting to America. And as your national debt climbs, you cannot afford to fork out enought dollars. So as soon as the Euro was established (the second transnational currency to date) Iraq, Iran, N. Korea, and Venusuala (in that order I believe) got sick of you standing on their backs and threatened to convert to the Euro. Cuba just did it... and Venusuala is almost there. Don't you notice a climbing tension between your country and these? Don't treat my take on this is a conspiracy theory though, this is just economics in action. If I said the world was ruled by a bunch of lizards who incarnate into positions of power on this earth to create a one world government... that would be a conspiracy theory.

well you did say "Just for fun" btw, interesting Time article: What Would War Look Like? A flurry of military maneuvers in the Middle East increases speculation that conflict with Iran is no longer quite so unthinkable. Here's how the U.S. would fight such a war--and the huge price it would have to pay to win it By MICHAEL DUFFY http://www.time.com/time/magazine/ar...994123,00.html

There. I feel better. In the meantime, read this from: James D. Hamilton is Professor of Economics at the University of California, San Diego In response to the very conspiracy "fact" you brought up: Quote:
The other things you may not have heard about was the terrorism thing. That's Iran's problem. And our fear of it lead us into Iraq. And Venezuela... Chavez makes a lot of noise, but the only thing we worry about with Chavez is his alliance with Iran, the terrorist masters. There aren't any carrier battle groups headed his way though. Rest easy. That would be a video game idea.

I really do get surprised by what I read from posters across the Atlantic, though. It seems pretty incredible to many of us here quite often. Unfortunately I was taking it out on you, and I shouldn't have. Hope you have a good weekend. I've got to run until next week so you get the last word. Take care.

Adrenalinejunkie: It's alright. It's what the Internet is for.
I don't want the last word. What a useless word that would be. Althought I'd have you look at this article. Ok... so it has a rhetoric problem, but in these ages it's hard to avoid.
